📚 Book Review 📚 Where the Crawdads sing, by Delia Owens

Starting this week with a new book review about “𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒘𝒅𝒂𝒅𝒔 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈”, 𝒃𝒚 𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒂 𝑶𝒘𝒆𝒏𝒔.

Kya Clark was a young girl when her mother walked away without looking back. Soon after, all her siblings did the same, leaving Kya with her absent, drunk, and abusive father in their house in the “Marsh”, outside the main town of Barkley Cove, North Carolina.

Being really young, she is left alone to provide for both of them, all while being judged and bullied by the town people.

With time, Mother Nature becomes Kya’s caretaker, as she finds friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

As Kya grows, two young men enter her life… until the unthinkable happens. The popular Chase Andrews is found dead. Rumors have been circulating for years about him and the “Marsh girl”. Could she be his killer?

“𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒘𝒅𝒂𝒅𝒔 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈” is a story about resiliency, love, loss, loneliness and strength.

The book is beautifully written and I highly recommend it 🤎.
